Information about the GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® education

The courses to become a certified GYROTONIC® or GYROKINESIS trainer level 1 comprises 138 hours, lasts 1 year and proceeds in several steps, which we have summarized here.

Step 1
Anyone interested in becoming a GYROTONIC® or GYROKINESIS® trainer should have completed between 5 and 10 hours of training beforehand.

Step 2
The Pre-Training (Basic Course) (30 hours) lasts 6 days and prepares the participant physically for a Foundation Training Course. Great emphasis is placed on the correct execution of the exercises from the Pre-Training exercise list.
A confidentiality agreement must be signed at the beginning of the Pre-Training.
The Pre-Training is a prerequisite for the Foundation Training Course, which must be started no later than 3 months after completion of the Pre-Training. You can register for a Foundation Training Course anywhere in the world after completing the Pre-Training.

Step 3
The Foundation Training Course (60 hours) lasts 12 days. The participant learns in small groups how to lead the exercises from the Level 1 Program.
A Confidentiality Agreement and Trademark License must be signed at the beginning of the course.
Participation in the Foundation Training Course does not guarantee successful completion. The attending Master Trainer has the right to refuse to teach the participant as an Apprentice Trainer if the participant does not yet meet the requirements.
Upon successful completion, each participant receives a certificate from GYROTONICR Headquarters and is now authorized to work with clients.

Step 4
During the next 6-12 months (Apprentice-Trainer) one has to complete a minimum of 60 hours of teaching, as well as a 6-day (for GYROKINESISR training 3-day) supervision course (30 hours) with a Master Trainer.

Step 5
The Final Certification Course (15 hours) takes 3 days. You can register for this course after successful completion of the Apprentice period. After successful completion of this course one is certified GYROTONIC®-Trainer Level 1 or certified GYROKINESIS®-Trainer Level 1.

This certificate allows one to participate in further training courses (Therapeutic Courses, Level 2 Courses, Special Equipment Courses etc.).

Every 2 years a minimum of 3 days training (update course) is mandatory to maintain the quality of all trainers.

The Trademark License must also be renewed every 2 years and entitles the holder to teach the GYROTONIC® method and to advertise with the GYROTONIC® logo.
